Obituary. William H. Fromme.
William H. Fromme, 89, Remsen, died Jan. 25, 1976 at Floyd Valley Le Mars hospital after a brief illness.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. Thomas Renquist will officiate. Burial will be in Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home of Remsen.
Friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fromme was born Nov. 20, 1886 at rural Remsen to Henry and Lena Mohning Fromme. He married Tjodie Grothaus in 1911. They farmed in the Remsen area until they retired in 1938 and moved to Remsen.
He was active in the early days of the ASC program in Plymouth county.
Mr. Fromme was Henry township clerk for many years. He also was district seven director of the Remsen schools for many years.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Delmar of Remsen; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois, a brother Albert and a sister, Mrs. John Witt. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Jan. 26, 1976, page 9.
