DEATH OF YOUNG WOMAN. Miss Elizabeth Feuerbach Succumbs to Appendicitis.
Miss Elizabeth Feuerbach, aged twenty, died in a hospital in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, on Sunday, March 16th, where she had been taken to undergo treatment for an attack of appendicitis. The young woman had many friends and relatives in Remsen vicinity. She was born in Remsen township on September 26, 1892, and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hermann Feuerbach. Her father died in 1893. Subsequently her mother married Wm. Jurgenson. The family moved to Dell Rapids, South Dakota, in 1909.
Arrangements had been made for the marriage of Ed C. Smith, formerly of Alton, now on a farm near Dell Rapids, and Miss Elizabeth Feuerbach, and he with her relatives deeply mourns her death.
Miss Feuerbach suffered attacks of appendicitis during the past two years and recently underwent two operations.
She leaves a sister, Margaret, a brother, Hermann, and six stepbrothers and sisters.
The remains were taken to Remsen for interment and the funeral held at Christ church on Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. P. Guenther conducting the services. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, March 21, 1913, page 1.
