Henry Falke, 82, Remsen Machinery Dealer, Is Buried.
Funeral services for Henry Falke, 82, widely known Remsen businessman, church leader and councilman, were held Monday afternoon at Christ Lutheran church there.
The Rev. Adolph Noack conducted the services and burial was in the Remsen cemetery.
Mr. Falke died Saturday after a long illness. For 47 years he owned and operated the Falke Motor Co. in Remsen, dealing in farm machinery and automobiles. He retired about two years ago because of his health.
Mr. Falke, a native of Germany, where he was born April 20, 1870, came to the United States with his parents in 1881, settling in Illinois. The family moved to a farm near Remsen in 1884 and moved into town in 1904 when he began his automobile and machinery business.
He was a member of the Remsen town council for 20 years, an officer of the Remsen Tank Line, a gasoline and oil distributing company, a director of the Farmers Saving bank since its organization in 1913 until 1951, and an officer of Christ Lutheran church for 25 years.
Surviving are the widow, Elizabeth and three daughters, Miss Viola Falke, at home, Mrs. Elmer Ohlendorf of Remsen and Mrs. W.E. Claussen of Des Moines. – Le Mars Sentinel, March 25, 1953, page 12.

Henry Falke, 82, businessman and civic leader at Remsen for 47 years died Saturday in the Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars after a long sickness.
Born in Germany, he came to the United States with his parents in 1881. They came to the Remsen vicinity in 1884 and moved into town in 1904.
Falke was a farm implement and auto dealer there until his health failed two years ago. He was a member of the town council more than 20 years, a director of Remsen Tank Line Co, and a director of the Farmers Savings Bank since 1913.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Viola, at home, Mrs. W.E. Claussen, Des Moines, and Mrs. Elmer Ohlendorf, Remsen.
Services were at 2 p.m. Monday in Christ Lutheran church at Remsen with burial in the church cemetery. – Le Mars Globe-Post, March 23, 1953, page 1.
