Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Akron for Mrs. Lydia Miller, 79, who died Wednesday at a Sioux City nursing home. Rev. David Roy officiated, and burial was in the Akron cemetery with: the Rossow funeral home in charge.
She was born January 16. 1877; in Illinois and lived in Nebraska and Iowa most of her life. Her husband, who died in 1938, was a street car conductor in Sioux City for 20 years.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Harris of Brunswick, Neb., two sons., Herbert and Clarence of Akron; a stepson, Charles Chambers of Arnolds Park. la.; a brother, Lewis Schroeder of Sioux City, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Akron, IowaMrs. Lydia Miller, a resident of Akron for a number of years, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 1956 in a Sioux City nursing home, aged in the Leeds Nursing Home, Sioux City, after being in failing health
for several years, at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 26 days.Lydia Freda Schroeder was born at Roberts, Illinois, January 16, 1877, and came to western Iowa when in her teens. On August 23, 1896, she became the bride of Arthur Miller in Sioux City. In 1927 they came to Akron to make their home. Her husband preceded heft in death in April, 1938, also an infant daughter, Mrs. Miller had been a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since June 4, 1939.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Harris, of Brunswick, Neb. two sons, Herbert and Clarence, of Akron; a stepson, Charles Chambers, of Arnolds Park, a brother, Lewis Schroeder, of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in Immanuel Lutheran Church, conducted by Pastor David J. Roy. Mrs. Milton Anderson was soloist and Mrs. Alvin Frisk was organist. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
