Funeral services were held last Thursday, May 29, for Mrs. Barth Miller, age 85, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. David Roy officiating. Mrs. Miller died Monday, May 26 at the Akron Hospital after a long illness. Songs, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus, " and "The Old Rugged Cross," were sung by Mrs. Stuart Harris, accompanied by Mrs. H. Shoulberg on the organ. Casket bearers were: Virgil Morehead, Norman Morehead, Wayne Milbrodt, Marl in Johnson, Darwin Johnson and Glen Milbrodt. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barth Miller, the former Clara Helen Kallsen, was born January 1,1884 at Keystone, Iowa. She was married to Mr. Miller, January 28, 1903, he died in 1946. Mrs. Miller has been a resident at the nursing home since January.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. John Milbrodt, Mrs. Frank Johnson and Mrs. Alfred Ryan, all of Akron; a son, Leonard, of San Diego; a brother, Jessie Kallsen, Akron; four sisters , Mrs. Delia. Kallsen, Brunsville; Mrs. Amanda Miller, St. Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Lillian Tapper and Mrs. Ella Arnsdorff, both of Le Mars; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
