Funeral services for Fred Bridgeman, age 82, were held Monday morning, October 18 at the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron at 10 a.m. Rev. Dean Orris officiating. Burial was In Riverside Cemetery. Pall bearers were: Harold Scott, Lloyd Searls, William Melnen and Henry Eichacker.

Mr. Bridgeman died October 15 at the Hawarden nursing home after a long illness.

He was born September,1889 at Villisca, Iowa, moving to Akron in 1918 where he farmed, retiring in 1960 to Akron. He entered the nursing home in July, 1970. He was married to Nannie Frist, December 10, 1910 at Villisca.

Survivors are his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Paul Eichacker of Hawarden; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
