Funeral services for Claude "Butch" Burris, age 75, were held Tuesday, November 2 at 10 a.m. at St Patrick Catholic Church, the Rev. Stanley B. Stone officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, the Schroeder Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were: Terry Granstrom, Greg Lucken, Craig Burris, Larry Knecht, Mike Neal and Jerry Neal. The Rosary was held Monday, November 1 at 8 p. m. Mr. Burris died Thursday, October 28 at his home.

He was born May 12,1896 at Adaville, Iowa. On December 3, 1915 he married Agatha Burke in Sioux City. Mr. Burris was a retired 45 year Milwaukee Road employee. He lived in the Westfield, Iowa and Chester, S.D. areas until 1924 when he moved to Akron, retiring in 1965.

Survivors are his widow; four sons, James of Santa Susana, Calif., Loren of St Louis, Mich., Wayne of Sioux City, Claude Jr., of Phoenix, Ariz.; four daughters, Mrs. Joy Neal of Gardena, Calif., Mrs. Kathryn Granstrom of Gardena, Mrs. Darrel Luken of Craig, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Borchers of Fort Dodge; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Eide of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Jack Mason of Minneapolis; 24 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
