Waterbury, Minnie 1886 - 1971

Mrs. Albert Waterbury, age 85, a resident of the Akron community for many years, died Tuesday, September 28, at the Akron Hospital after a brief illness.

The former Minnie Kaelke, she was born April 27,1886, at North Platte, Nebraska. She came to Plymouth County at the age of 15 and was married September 13,1905, at Akron to Albert Waterbury. The couple farmed all of their married lives in the Akron area. Mr. Waterbury died in 1963.

Survivors are two sons, Floyd, of Akron, and Marlow, of McCook Lake, S.D., thirteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon of last week at the Westside Church of Christ with Rev. Dean Orris officiating. The hymns "In The Sweet Bye and Bye" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Mrs. Frances Mackey, with Marie Degen as organist. Casket bearers were Willie Huebner, Wayne Radtke, Embert Klemme, Glenn Wakeman, Roy Dreeszen and Marvin Moss. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery. Schroeder Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
