Clark, Lloyd William 1914 - 1980

Lloyd William Clark, 65, Akron, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 1980) in a Sioux City hospital of a long illness. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. The Rev. Peter Peterson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Honorary pallbearers were Francis Gale, Jake Stotz, Steve Wilcox, James Hawks, James Martin, George Myers and Burton Swift. Active bearers were Cecil Ericson, Les Mitchell, Neil Me Lane, Ernest Lucken, Norbert Isert and Orville Durr.

Mr. Clark was born December 12, 1914, in Akron. He married Lois Hitzemann, Aug. 20, 1947 in Akron where they made their home. He worked for the Iowa State Highway Commission for 20 years, retiring in 1969.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy; two sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Opal) Schmidt of Akron and Mrs. Art (Berline) Pahl of Brunsville; and a brother, Arnold, of Spencer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Russell Clark.
