MOURN DEATH OF BOY
Marvin Klaschen Dies Following Illness of Year and a Half
Marvin Christian Klaschen, the 12 year old son of Carl Klaschen, living seven miles southeast of Remsen,
was taken by death last Friday, July 22. Marvin was born to Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klaschen, December 21, 1919.
He had always been a healthy boy until a year and a half ago when illness gripped him. His illness became severe
a few days before his death when he was moved to the Sacred Heart Hospital where death took him. He leaves to mourn
his death his father, a brother Earl and two sisters, LaVana and Wilma.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 25, at St. Paul's Evangelical Church at Remsen, with Rev. John
Perl of Le Mars officiating. Interment was made at the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, July 29, 1932, page 4

Marvin Klaschen, 12 year old son of Carl Klachen, died at the Sacred Heart hospital on Friday from heart trouble. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from St. Paul’s Evangelical church. Rev. Perl of Le Mars conducted the funeral services. – Le Mars Globe-Post, July 28, 1932, page 2.
