Another one of Remsen’s aged citizens Mr. Timm Hansen passed to his reward on Monday afternoon, August 13. Timm Hansen was born in the province of Schleswig in Germany on the twentieth day of May 1821. With his wife, and four children, he came to the United States in 1872, locating on a farm in Benton county, Iowa. Later the two sons came west and in 1899 the aged parents also came to make their home with their son Han Hansen. Note: Timm Hansen is buried in the Remsen City Cemetery.
