Madie, the three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Spiecker was taken sick with cholera infantum at the family home at Melvin, Iowa on Tuesday, September 28th, the birthday of the child, and died on the following Monday, October 5th. The remains were brought to Remsen on Tuesday evening, October 6th, and were laid out in the home of Mrs. Moritz, little Madie’s grandma, and laid to rest in the Remsen cemetery on Wednesday, October 7th.
