Funeral services for Mrs. Henry (Emma) Hansen, 67, Remsen will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Remsen.
Rev. William F. Striepe, Le Mars, will officiate and burial will be in Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Fisch funeral home at Remsen.
A prayer service will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hansen died Tuesday (April 15, 1980) at the Orange City hospital after a lengthy illness.
Emma Letsche was born April 13, 1913, at Remsen to Martin and Frieda Schmidt Letsche. She lived at Remsen her entire life where she attended rural schools and Remsen high school.
She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran church at Marcus and confirmed at Christ Lutheran in Remsen. Her marriage to Henry Hansen took place Jan. 4, 1943, at Camp Hahn, Calif.
She was a member of St. Paul’s church.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Remsen; a son, Gary of Dallas Tex., and a daughter, Mrs. Larry ( Nancy) Milham, Mesquite, Tex.; two granddaughters; a brother, LeRoy of Remsen; two sisters, Mrs. Ruben (Ruth) Rogness, Royal, Iowa and Mrs. Maynard (Faye) Douglas, Waterloo, and several nieces and nephews. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, April 17, 1980, page 10.
