DEATH OF REMSEN WOMAN. Miss Louisa Stang Succombs to Painful Illness.
Miss Louisa Stang, a well-known resident of Remsen vicinity for many years, died at her home on Thursday, July 1. Death was caused by strangulation of the bowels.
Louisa Stang was born in Baltimore, Md. On April 5, 1850, and when a little girl came with her parents to Luzerne, Ia. She was educated and grew to womanhood at that place. In 1882 the family moved to Remsen, which has been her home ever since.
She leaves to mourn her death two sisters and one brother, A.J. Stang, formerly treasurer for Plymouth county. One sister preceded her in death. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, July 6, 1920, page 1.
