Death of Mrs. Rudolph Lang.
Mrs. Rudolph Lang died at her residence on Franklin street on Tuesday evening the cause of death being dropsy from which she had suffered for several years. The deceased whose maiden name was Maria Krause, was born in North Schleswig, Germany, and came to the United States sixteen years ago and has lived in Plymouth county nearly all that time. She was married at Remsen to Mr. Lang and they have three children, aged respectively ten, eight, and five years old. The family moved to Le Mars last March principally to be within easy reach of medical attention. The deceased was thirty-three years and nine months old. She has a brother, Karl Krause who resides four miles west of Kingsley and an uncle Jeff Krause, living at Lake View.
Her husband is a brother of John, Fred, Gottlieb, Nic and William Lang and Mrs. M. Kohler and Mrs. Wm Siefke, who reside at Remsen and vicinity. Another brother, John, resides at Santa Cruz, California. Mrs. A. Stang, of this city, is a niece of Rudolph Lang.
The funeral will be held this afternoon at Remsen in the Evangelical church. - Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, December 7, 1899, page 7.
