Mrs. Herbert Koerner Died of Heart Attack Saturday January 29.
Mrs. Herbert Koerner died of a heart ailment at her home in Le Mars Saturday, Jaunary 29.
Helen Mauer was born March 13, 1899, in Marcus, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mauer. She married Herbert Koerner, who survives her with the following children: Four sons, Dale and Melvin of Le Mars, Robert and Richard in the army; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Cain of Cherokee and Mrs. Mavis Wellong of Yuma, Arizona. She is also survived by four sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held at the Luken Funeral Home Wednesday, February 2, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Walter Kieker officiating and burial will be in the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Tuesday, Feb. 1, 1949, page 1.
