REMSEN. From the News.
On Thursday occurred the death of the five year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Detloff Ericksen [Erichsen] of scarlet fever who resides south of this place. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 28, 1907, page 3.

“For the second time since the dreadful plague, Scarlet Fever, made its appearance in the neighborhood, as the angel of death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Detlof Erichsen taking away on the 23rd of May their beloved child, a bright little girl of five years old.”
