Obituaries--Frances (Dolly) TullisFrances L. (Dolly) Tullis, 65, longtime LeMars and area resident, died Monday (Aug. 3, 1987) at Floyd Valley Hospital in LeMars.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at LeMars Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Rev. Robert Grupp will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, LeMars, under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. The family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m.
The former Frances Peterman, she was born March 11, 1922, at Osage, Neb. to Frank and Ruth Gulliver Peterman. She graduated in 1939 from LeMars High School. On June 18, 1939, she married John Tullis in LeMars.
She was a member of the Union Township Presbyterian Church and Green Thumb Club.
Survivors are five sons, Gary Tullis of Norfolk, Neb., Robert Tullis of Garland, Tex., Jack Tullis of Coralville, Dennis Tullis of Danbury and Randy Tullis of Augsburg, Germany; two sisters, Clarice of North Liberty, Iowa, and Donna of Cedar Rapids; 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1965 , and a son, Bruce Tullis.
