Obituary
Frank TullisFrank Benjamin Tullis, 81, longtime LeMars area farmer, died Sunday at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of several months. He had been at the hospital for three weeks.
He was born Jan. 11, 1888, at Merrill and was a lifelong Plymouth county resident. His marriage to Rose Christina Anderson took place Dec. 27, 1909, in LeMars. His parents were the late William and Rebecca Sumner Tullis.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Merrill United Methodist church, with Rev. D. J. Garrington officiating. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Merrill, under direction of the Mauer funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home afternoon on Tuesday.
Survivors are two sons, Loren (sic--Lauren), rural LeMars, and Willis, Merrill; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Keenan, LeMars; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. John Tullis, Oyens, son-in-law, Clayton James, Vermillion; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1967; by a son, John in 1965 and a daughter, Lucille James in 1967.
Mr. Tullis was a member of United Methodist church, Merrill.
