Obituary
Mrs. William Van Buskirk

Mrs. William Van Buskirk, 79, Craig, died unexpectedly Sunday (May 20, 1973) at Craig after suffering an apparent heart attack.

A homemaker, Mrs. Van Buskirk had lived most of her life in the Craig vicinity.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran church, Craig, under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

The former Anna Kathryn Westergard, Mrs. Van Buskirk was born Sept. 29, 1893, in Sioux county, near Hawarden, the daughter of the late Jesse and Anna (Hough) Westergard.

She and William A. Van Buskirk were united in marriage April 16, 1919, at Hawarden. He died in December 1958 at their farm near Craig.

Mrs. Van Buskirk was a member of St. John's Lutheran church at Craig and a member of the ladies A. L. C. W.

Survivors are three sons, William of LeMars, Roland of Aurora, Ill., and Lloyd of Sioux City; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Newman of Hawarden, Mrs. C. W. (Helen) Francis of Omaha, Mrs. Keith (Charlotte) Mitchell and Mrs. Clarence (Shirley) Bockelman, both of Hawarden; a brother Chris Westergard of Ireton; two sisters, Mrs. J. C. Barinsky of Hawarden and Mrs. Kathryn Hillrichs of Craig, 25 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
