Clara A. Wilkinson
Clara A. Wilkinson, 94, of Fort Collins, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 1996, at Columbine Care Center East.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Grandview Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Patchen officiating.
Clara Burrill was born Nov. 6, 1901, in Plymouth City (error--Plymouth County), Iowa, to George Henry Burrill and Mary Jane Tullis Burrill.
She married Evan C. Wilkinson on Nov. 6, 1920, in Denver.
He died on Dec. 4, 1957.
Mrs. Wilkinson had lived in Fort Morgan before moving to Fort Collins in 1945.
She was a practical nurse at Poudre Valley Hospital for many years, then worked at Golden West Healthcare Center, after which she became a private-duty nurse, retiring at the age of 85.
She was a member of the Fort Collins chapter of Women of the Moose, the Practical Nurses' Association, the Know Your Book Club, the Navy Mothers' Club and Eastern Star.
She also volunteered for the Outreach Program of the First Christian Church and delivered meals to the elderly with Meals on Wheels, also serving on its board of directors.
Survivors include one son, Edward Wilkinson, of Rubicon, Wis.; one daughter, Linda Griffith of Sugar Grove, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Sarah Mylander of Fort Morgan; one sister, Mary Fay (sic--Faye) Eyres of Lamars (sic--LeMars), Iowa; 17 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Church in care....(last lines lost)
