Nellie Butcher Taken By Death
Was Daughter Of Early Day Physician In County

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at West funeral home in Sioux City for Mrs. Nellie F. (error--S.) Butcher, 68, who died Thursday afternoon in her home near Westfield. Ada M. Jandt, a Christian Science reader, officiated, and interment was made in the cemetery at Akron. Mrs. Butcher was a daughter of Dr. J. M. Jenkins, early day Plymouth county physician.

Mrs. Butcher was born October 24, 1868, at DeKalb, Ill. When she was 12 years old, she came to Iowa with her father and an aunt. Her mother had died. She was married May 3, 1891, to Charles L. Butcher who preceded her in death two years ago. Mrs. Butcher was a member of the Christian Science church.

Surviving are two daughters, Miss Carrie M. Butcher and Mrs. Frank D. Reed, both of Sioux City, and three sons, Bennie F. Butcher, of Seattle, Wash.; Clifford E. Butcher, of Sioux City, and Charles Butcher, who lived with his mother.
