Charles Butcher Claimed By Death

Charles Butcher, well known farmer, of Broken Kettle vicinity, died Monday at his farm home near Westfield.

Charles Butcher was born October 9, 1864, in Missouri and followed the occupation of farming there and later in Iowa. He came to Plymouth county in 1892, and farmed in the west part of the county. He leaves his wife, who before her marriage was Miss Nellie Jenkins; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Reed, of Sioux City, and Miss Carrie Butcher at home; three sons, Bernie (sic--Bennie) of Jefferson, S. D., Charles, of Westfield, and Clifford, of Sioux City, and five sisters, Mrs. Jennie Butcher, of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Jane Fortner, of Eli, Neb., Mrs. Lettie Simmons, of White Owl, S. D., and Mrs. Leona Noble of Goodman, Mo.

Mr. Butcher was a member of the Christian Science church.

The funeral will be held Wednesday in Westfield and interment made in the cemetery at Akron.
