MOURN LOSS OF INFANT SON

Gene Doreen, the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. C. Vreugdenhil, northwest of town in Union county, S. D., passed away June 24, 1934, at the tender age of thirteen months and seven days.

He was operated upon for obstruction of the bowels Friday, June 22, at the Akron Akron Hospital, and all that was humanly possible was done for the little one but the Lord called him Home at 5:35 o’clock Sunday morning. He leaves to mourn his departure his loving parents, on sister Joyce, and two brothers, Max and Robert. They are tendered the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 o’clock in the home and at 2 o’clock at the Big Springs Baptist church, conducted by their former pastor, Rev. B. L. Carlton of Worthington, Minn. He was laid to rest in Riverside cemetery, Akron.

Relatives coming from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. J. Vreugdenhil of Sioux Center, Ia.; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pasma, of Hawarden, Ia. And Mr. and Mrs. Bert McGuire, of Elk Point, S. D.
