DEATH TAKES WALT MOHAN

Succumbs To Injuries Received In Car Accident

Walter Mohan passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital on Saturday morning from injuries received in an automobile accident more than a week ago.

Walter J. Mohan was the son of John T. and Delia Conness Mohan, and was born in LeMars on Jan. 30, 1893. He attended the public school here, completing his college course in the Jesuit college of St. Mary's, Kansas. He then spent a year at Iowa State college, Ames. Since 1914 he has been farming in Johnston township, 13 miles west of LeMars. The community in which he lived for so many years will miss a faithful friend and a kind neighbor. Mr. Mohan was a member of the Catholic church of Elleridale.

Surviving him are a sister, Lily M. Mohan, who has made her home with him for the past nine years, and a brother, John T. Mohan of Portland, Ore. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a brother, Dr. Joseph C. Mohan of Sioux City and a sister who died in infancy many years ago.

Funeral services were held this morning at the Ellendale Catholic church with Father Reising officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in St. James cemetery in LeMars. Pall bearers were Charles Russell, Lamber Jeffers, Herb Johnson, Louis Heeren, Joe Will and J. E.. Condren. Wiltgen's funeral home were in charge of the arrangements.
