Mrs. Keenan Dies Sunday

Mrs. John Keenan of 525 Evelyn Drive died Sunday morning at her home after a long illness.

Lucio E. Ryan was born in Waukon, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Ryan. She moved with her parents to Kimball. S. D., and resided in Golden, Colo., while attending school.

She was married to John Keenan, a Le Mars attorney. Mr. Keenan preceded her in death, as did a son, Ralph.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O. H. (Roberta) Keffeler and Mrs. Harry (Dorothy Ann) Kramer, both of Le Mars. She is also survived by two sisters. Miss Adele Ryan and Miss Sara Ryan, both of Golden, Colo., and a brother, Emmet Ryan of Carnation, Wash.
Mrs. Keenan was a charter member of the Court Santa Maria No. 179, Catholic Daughters of America, a member of St. James Branch of the Missionary Society and St. James Altar society.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery, with Rev. Cecil Friedman officiating.

Parish rosary will be recited at the Wiltren-Luedtke funeral home Monday evening at 8 o’clock, followed by Catholic Daughters of America rosary at 8:30 p.m. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.n Monday until service time.
