Mrs. Robert (Donna) Holcombe

Funeral services for Mrs. Robert Holcombe, 24,
of Des Monines, were held on Monday, Jan. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Hinton United Methodist Church. Rev. Dale Stone officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetary under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mrs. Holcombe, former Hinton resident, died Jan. 8, 1981, at University Hospital, Iowa City,
after an illness of a month.

She was born April 6, 1956, at Sioux City to
Donald and Dorthea (Schneider) VanEvera. Her father died in 1965 and her mother also preceded her in death in 1970.

She attended the Hinton school and graduated from the Hinton high school in 1974. She worked
for a time in Sioux City.

She married Robert Holcombe, Dec. 23, 1977 at
Hinton. They lived in Sioux City and Phoenix, Ariz. and returned to Des Moines three months ago.

She was a member of the Hinton United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband of Des Moines,
two infant sons, Robert, 2, and John, 1 month;
two sisters, Mrs. Eldon (Linda) Gries, Des Moines and Edith VanEvera of Sioux City and a brother,
Richard VanEvera, Hinton.

Pallbearers were Steve Beeck, Skip Perley,
Greg Michael, Kenny Havener, Perry Pinkerton, and Rhinehart Lewis.
