MRS. HAVERKAMP TAKE OWN LIFE;
RITES AT IOWA CITY

Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Haverkamp, 32, of 1205 Seymour St., Iowa City, drowned Friday afternoon in the lowa river north of the Iowa City park.

The Johnson county medical examiner, Dr. T. T. Bozek, who was called to the scene shortly after 5:30 p.m., ruled the death a suicide.

Requeim mass was at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic church. lowa City. Rosary was recited Sunday evening at the Donohue mortuary, lowa City.

Mrs. Haverkamp was born Nov. 4, 1935, in Le Mars. to M. E. and Agnes (Foley) Hentges. She was married July 18, 1959, in Le Mars. The couple moved to lowa City in 1960.

She was a member of St. Patrick's church and guild.

Surviving are her husband and three sons. Michael, 7; Thomas, 5; and James, 10 months; her parents. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Henges, Le Mars: three brothers and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
