DEATH.
Morris J. Courtney died on Saturday of consumption. He is well known in LeMars having been for a long time a clerk in the grocery store of Courtney & Donnovan. He was apparently a rugged young man until last October when he began to complain and went to Colorado for relief. He gained for a time but as soon as the weather became irregular he grew worse and returned two months ago, since which time he has been growing worse.

The intention was to take him to Jackson county for burial but the snow storm and the uncertainty of getting through led his father, Dennis Courtney, to bury him here which was done on Sunday, Father Barren officiating.
