Obituary - Mrs. Victor Weber

LeMars, Iowa — Mrs. Victor Weber, 94, of LeMars died suddenly Saturday at her home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Francis Staber will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. The Rosary will be said Sunday at Luedtke Funeral Home by the Christian Mothers and the Catholic Daughters of America at 4 p.m. and and 8:30 p.m. respectively and a parish wake service will begin at 8 p.m.

Mrs. Weber, the former Anna Wilhelmi, was born March 8, 1884, in rural LeMars. She married Victor Weber Nov. 17, 1901, in LeMars. He died in 1937.

Survivors include a son Herbert of LeMars; three daughters, Mrs. Louie D. (Katherine) Myers of LeMars, Mrs. Ronald (Marianne) Kelly of LeMars and Mrs. Ivan E. (Lois) Dull of Dubuque; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Leo (Clara) Young, of Norfolk, Neb.

Mrs. Anna Weber, 94, a LeMars native and lifetime resident, died unexpectedly Saturday (May 6, 1978) at he home. She had been in frail health for several weeks.

Anna Wilhelmi was born March 8, 1884, at rural LeMars to J. Adam and Mary Frederick Wilhelmi. She lived here except of a year spent at Willmar, Minn.

Mrs. Weber, a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s church, was a member of the Christian Mothers society.

That rosary was recited at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Luedtke funeral home and the parish rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Mrs. Weber was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. That rosary was recited at 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Her marriage to Victor Weber took place in LeMars, Nov. 17, 1901. He preceded her in death in 1937.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Clarence and Dominick and by a daughter, Olga Van de Steeg.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s church with Rev. Francis Staber officiating.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Luedtke funeral home. Six grandsons were pallbearers.
