Obituary

Louis Orban, 78, lifetime Plymouth resident died Tuesday morning at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of a month. He had been hospitalized since April.

He was born Feb. 20, 1893, on a farm near Merrill the son of John Robert and Mary Frisch Orban. His marriage to Anna Vondra took place Feb. 12, 1923 at St. Joseph church, Neptune. The couple farmed south of Oyens until retiring to Le Mars in 1945.

Their home is at 25 Fourth Ave. NW.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic church under direction of the Luedtke funeral home in Le Mars. Rev. Eugene Ulses will officiate and burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday and the parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Survivors are his wife, Anna; two sisters, Anna and Leona Orban, both of Le Mars; a brother-in-law, Charles Vondra, and a sister-in-law, Dora Vondra; two nephews, Harold Baldes and Minert Orban and two nieces, Mrs. Leona Dreckman and Mrs. Aloysius (Elizabeth) Britt, all of Le Mars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Fred.
