PETER MILLER WAS FORMERLY SUCCESSFUL STOCK RAISER IN THIS COUNTY.

LEAVES A LARGE FAMILY.
Moved to Sioux City From Here Some Years Ago.

Peter Miller, aged 58, a resident of Plymouth county for forty-nine years, died at his home in Sioux City early Tuesday night after a lingering illness. Mr. Miller had made his home in Sioux City the past seven years.

His parents came to this country from Germany when he was two years of age, and settled in the west part of the county. Mr. Miller farmed for many years and at one time was noted for the quality of high grade stock he raised.

He left Plymouth county for Sioux City, where he engaged in various enterprises. Of late he had been employed with the Cudahy Packing plant.

Besides his widow, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Catherine Miller of Alton, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. A. Weidenfeller, of Merrill, Ia.; Mrs. A. J. Mandel, of Sioux City; Miss Sadie Miller, of Alton; eight sons, Tony, of LeMars; Lawrence of Hawaii; Peter, of Kingsley, Ia.; Maynard, Sylvester, Edward, Joseph, and Alphonse all of Sioux City; and seven daughters, Mrs. Ralph Bruneau, of Jefferson, S.D.; Mrs. Lee Potts, of South Sioux City; Mrs. Kate Dill, Mrs. Joseph Doyle, Misses Loretta, Violet, and Mary Miller, all of Sioux City. Two daughters preceded Mr. Miller in death.

The remains were brought to LeMars for interment and the funeral services held at St. Joseph’s church Thursday morning.
