Obituary.
Frank L. Nuebel, 88, longtime LeMars resident, died at his home at 30 Sixth Ave. SE, Sunday evening after a long illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic church with Rev. Dean Walker officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of Luedtke funeral home.

Friends may all at the Luedtke funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday. A parish rosary will be said Monday at 8 p.m.

Mr. Nuebel was born Dec. 7, 1881, at Dunkerton and came to this community as a young man farming near Oyens until he retired to LeMars in 1939. He married Josephine Meis Feb. 13, 1906. He operated a general merchandise store in LeMars with his brothers before farming.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice, five brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife; three sons, Leo and Vincent of LeMars and Lawrence of Remsen; six daughters, Mrs. Peter (Mary) Bohlke, Mrs. Lawrence (Vivian) Sitzmann, Mrs. Edward (Agatha) Sitzmann Jr, all of LeMars; Mrs. Ray (Leona) Sitzmann and Mrs. Walter (Rosella) Sitzmann, both of Hinton and Mrs. Eugene (Dorothy) Crooks of Garden Grove, Calif.; a brother Paul of Dunkerton; a sister, Mrs. Mary Stabell of Dunkerton; 53 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
