DIED OF CONSUMPTION.
Mrs. George Baird who has been sick with consumption for several months passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Peter Braun, on Sixth street on Thursday shortly after noon. Mrs. Baird had been taken to New Mexico a little more than a year ago to see if the climate would not bring her relief from the malady, but she grew worse steadily and several months ago her step-father, Peter Braun, brought her home to care for until the end came.

Mr. Baird was in Milwaukee at the time of her death, was notified by telegram and he came at once. The deceased was formerly Miss Mary Kane (sic Koehn or Kohn) of this city. The funeral was held on Saturday morning at St. Joseph’s church.

Deceased was born in Centermine, Mich., on February 2, 1874, and came to LeMars with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Kane (sic) in 1876, her father having died in 1880. She was united in marriage with Mr. George Baird in Monroe, Wis., in 1893.

Obituary.
The funeral of Mrs. George Baird was held on Saturday morning at St. Joseph’s church in this city.

The deceased was born at Centermine, Lake Superior, Michigan, on February 2, 1874. She came to LeMars with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kane (sic) in 1876. Mr. Kane (sic) died in 1880.

Mary Kane (sic) was united in marriage with George Baird at Monroe, Wis., in 1893. Last year they went to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for her health where they remained for eight months.

Mrs. Baird, who was suffering from consumption did not get any better and was brought to LeMars to the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Braun, about four months ago, where everything was done to alleviate her sufferings and make her last days on earth peaceful. Her husband, whose business called him to Wisconsin some weeks ago, arrived in LeMars on Friday to attend the funeral.
