HOLD FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY MORNING FOR OSCAR WEIDENFELLER
Had Been Steward At Eagles Lodge Here For Over 25 Years
Oscar A. Weidenfeller, 65, steward at the Eagles lodge here for over 25 years, died Saturday at Sacred Heart hospital, where he had been hospitalized two weeks.
Funeral services were at 9 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic church with Rev. L. J. LaVelle officiating. Burial was in Calvary cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Mr. Weidenfeller was born Feb. 14, 1893, at Alton, the son of Christian and Margaret Weidenfeller. His marriage to Rowena Rees took place June 11, 1910, at Sioux City.
In addition to serving as Eagles' steward for over a quarter of a century, Mr. Weidenfeller was a member of the Elks club.
Surviving or his wife; a son, Oscar R. (Brick) Weidenfeller of Le Mars; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Moir of Le Mars and Mrs. Vincent (Alice) Lanners of Hot Springs, S. D.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Hodapp of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gene, and a grandson.
