Frederick W. Held

Frederick W. Held, 70, of Meriden,died Sunday
(Feb. 7, 1982) in a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cherokee.

Rev. Bob Davis officiated. Burial was in the Rock Branch cemetery near Correctionville under
the direction of the Greenwood Funeral Home of Cherokee.

Mr. Held was born Jan. 21, 1912, near Hinton.
He married Irene Bohle June 14, 1940, in Oto.

He farmed in Ayshire, Cushing, and Lawton communities before moving to a farm near Meriden in 1968. He retired in 1978.

Survivors are his wife, two daughters, Mrs Donald (Jeanne) Blackstone of Meriden and Mrs. Thomas (Beverly) Johnson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a
sister, Florence Held of Hinton; three brothers,
Clarence of Hinton and George and Wayne, both of
Bella Vista, Ark., and three granddaughters.
