Miss Olivia Wilmes, daughter of J. B. Wilmes, a former resident of LeMars, died on Sunday afternoon at St. Vincent’s hospital in Sioux City. Pneumonia was the cause of death. She had been ill for only a week. The remains were brought to LeMars last evening and the funeral will be held this morning at St. Joseph’s church at 10 o’clock.

Miss Olivia Wilmes was 16 years of age and was born on a farm near Oyens. The family moved later to Dundee, Minn., and then returned to LeMars three or four years ago and last fall moved to Sioux City.

Her death is mourned by her father, four brothers and three sisters, who are John, living in Nebraska; Raymond, Frank and Arnold, living in Sioux City and vicinity; Mrs. J. R. Hegir, Dundee, Minn.; Mrs. Anton Hames, America township; and Leonora, living with her father. Her mother preceded her in death two years ago and one sister three years ago.

Miss Olivia Wilmes was a bright, young woman, beloved by many friends and her death in the dawn of young womanhood is a great shock to her relatives and a large circle of acquaintances.
