ADAM WILMES CALLED FRIDAY
Last Rites Held Here This Morning For Retired Barber

Adam Wilmes passed away unexpectedly Friday at the home of his niece, Mrs. Wm. Lynch, after a sickness of one day.

Mr. Wilmes was born September 28, 1866 at St. Donatus, Ia., and had reached the age of 76 years and 25 days at the time of his death. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Wilmes.

Deceased spent his boyhood in LeMars and was in business as a barber in Wall, S.D., for a long time. He recently came to LeMars to make his home with Mrs. Lynch. He was never married.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. E. G. Oldham of Bremerton, Wash., a brother, P. J. Wilmes of Tampa, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held this morning at 9 o’clock at the St. James church, with Rev. Fr. Bauer officiating. Interment was made in the St. James cemetery. Wiltgen’s funeral home were in charge of arrangements.
