Harold Tooker, 88, of Merrill, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society of Le Mars.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Reverend Tim Geitz from Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars will officiate. Private family burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation with the family present will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Rexwinkel Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.

Harold Lester Tooker, the son of Harold and Leona (Marx) Tooker, was born on October 8, 1934 in Merrill, Iowa. He attended school at Liberty Consolidated, rural Merrill, Iowa, and graduated in 1952.
He was united in marriage to Carol Junck on February 10, 1952 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Leeds, Iowa.

Harold and Carol farmed their entire married life near Merrill. They grew corn, soybeans, and alfalfa. They also milked cows, selling grade A milk. Carol passed away October 9, 2013.

Harold was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Le Mars. He also was a member of the Merrill Community Club and the Merrill Lion’s Club. He was proud of his Allis Chalmers tractors and his collection. He enjoyed many years of camping with family and friends, square dancing, card clubs, and snowmobiling.

Survivors include his children: Connie (Mike) Sitzmann of Merrill, IA, Randal (Ella) Tooker of Round Top, TX, Dennis (Joy) Tooker of Alton, IA, and Tammy (Kevin) Arnold of Merrill, IA; 11 grandchildren: Chad Sitzmann, Shawnie (Shane) Keizer, Joe (Bobbie) Sitzmann, Nick Tooker, Kristen Tooker, Kari (John) Blythe, Jamie Tooker, Brian (Crisinda) Tooker, Katie (Jon) Jeltema, Trevor (Megan Caldbeck) Arnold, Tera (Kevin) Brown, Kyle Diede, and Katie Diede; his great grandchildren: Brooklyn, Kolby, and Kenzie Keizer, Jami and Eli Sitzmann, Cody Tooker, Caleb Tooker, Rafe Tooker, Logan Blythe, Julian Arnold, Trenton, Cale, Taya, and Brenna Tooker, Jackson and Kaleigh Tooker, Austin, Allison, Luke, and Addy Jeltema, and Blake, Ryan, and Beau Brown; his sister, Frances Pranke; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Tooker; his siblings: Harvey Tooker, Evelyn Woll, and Bonnie DeRocher; granddaughter, Alisa Tooker; and a daughter in law, Lori Ann Tooker.
