Stephen Goom, an old resident of Le Mars, died yesterday, aged about seventy-seven. The funeral took place from the Methodist Church this morning.

Mr. Goom had been in his usual health up until Saturday morning, when he was taken suddenly ill, suffering great agony until death relieved him.

Mr. Goom's wife died about eighteen months since. One son is left to mourn.
