Cindy Olson, 57 of Akron, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.
Memorial Service will be 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with the family present will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 14, 2022 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Cindy Elaine Miller was born on August 24, 1964 to William ‘Bill’ Miller and Francis Elaine (Erickson) Miller in Akron, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at Wesley United Methodist Church in Akron. She attended school in Akron and graduated from Akron High School in 1982. Cindy was united in marriage to Mark Olson on September 17, 1983. They had two daughters: Ashley Elaine and Amanda Mary.
Cindy was most recently working for Dr. Tim Allard in Akron which she really enjoyed. Cindy loved to go shopping, boating, and attending her grandchildren’s school and sports events. Her favorite time was spent with her daughters and grandchildren. She was also a huge fan of Phil Vassar and his music! Cindy was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mark; two daughters: Ashley (Joshua) Johnson of Spirit Lake, IA and Amanda (Justin) Kyte of Akron, IA; grandchildren: Jayden, Jaren, and Josie Johnson and Kynlee, Kora, and Tucker Kyte; mother, Francis (Richard) Huebner of Akron, IA; siblings: Terry (Julie) Miller of Hawarden, IA, Deborah (Terry) Singer of Le Mars, IA, and Patty (Arden) Heeren of Akron, SD; mother in law, Vanita Meske of Rapid City, SD; step-mother in law, Dorothy Olson of Hawarden, IA; sisters in law: Teresa (John) Birkley of Sioux City, IA and Julie (David) Bock of Salt Lake City, UT; nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
Cindy is preceded in death by her father, William ‘Bill’ Miller and father in law, Vernold Olson.
