Theresa C. Wittkop

Theresa C. Wittkop, 87, of Le Mars, an Oyen's native and lifelong Plymouth County resident, died Monday, Aug. 8, 1994, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center in Le Mars.

Miss Wittkop was born March 8, 1907, near Oyens in Plymouth County, the daughter of John and Theresa (Niggman) Wittkop. She grew up near Oyens and attended school at St, Catherine's Catholic School in Oyens.

For the last three years, Miss Wittkop has lived in Le Mars at Brentwood.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Groetken of Le Mars; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Verna Wittkop of Le Mars, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, Henry, John, Anton, George, Charles, and William Wittkop; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Neisius, and Anna Wittkop at the age of four.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Oyens, with the Rev. Randy Schon and the Rev. Dale George concelebrating the mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday, with a rosary at 4 p-m., and a scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m., all the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.
