Mrs. Gertrude Papritz
Mrs. John H. Papritz, 76, Akron, died Monday (May 3, 1982) to the Akron city hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Akron under direction of the Schroeder funeral home. A prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Alvin Willer, Charles Willer, Ray Lubben, Dallas Huebner, Fred Hanson, jr., and Duane Jones.
Mrs. Papritz the former Sophie Gertrude Huebner, was born November 4, 1905, at Fergus Falls, Minn. She married John Papritz June 22, 1927, in Akron. He died July 28, 1980. She was a lifelong area resident and was employed in the Thrift Shop in Akron for several years.
Survivors include three daughters, Helena Papritz of Brookings, S. D., Mrs. Roy (Wilma) Jensen of Milbank, S. D., and Mrs. G. D. (Florence) Phillips of Front Royal, Va.; six brothers, Arthur, August and Willie, all of Akron, Ralph of Beresford, S. D., Rueben of Vancouver, Wash., and Walter of Hawarden; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John and two brothers, Albert and John.
