FUNERAL SERVICES MONDAY FOR MRS. NORMAN TREINEN
Mrs. Norman Treinen, 41, well known Remsen woman and almost a lifelong resident of the rural area here died in the family home northeast of town Wednesday evening.
Funeral services will be held in St. Mary’s Catholic church Monday morning at 9:30 o’clock, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis P. Schultes offering the requiem high mass. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Born at Kingsley
Born on a farm near Kingsley, August 31, 1918, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. Kemp, now of Burbank, S. D.
The family moved to South Dakota when she was a child. She returned to Iowa after leaving high school and was a graduate of St. oseph’s School of Nursing in Sioux City.
In St. Mary’s church here April 16, 1941, Lois Kemp became the wife of Norman J. Treinen of Remsen and the couple settled on the Treinen farm six miles northeast of town and resided there since.
Mrs. Treinen was a faithful member of the Catholic church and of the Christian Mothers society and the Catholic Daughter of America. She was a truly faithful Christian woman, devoted faithfully to her family and through her many admirable traits endered herself among her many acquaintances. The sorrowing husband, seven children, parents, sisters and brother have the sympathy of the entire community.
Survivors
Surviving are the husband and the children: Daniel, Thomas, Max, Mary, Wayne, Richard and Rose, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Creighton (Eunice) Caffee in California and a brother, Orrin Kemp of Remsen.
Week-end Wake
Friends may call beginning at 7 o’clock Saturday evening and until funeral time at the Fisch funeral home which has charge of arrangements and where the rosary will be recited at the customary hours.
