J. FRED KRIEGE
J. Fred Kriege, 56, of South Sioux City, Neb., well known farmer of Dakota county, Neb., died Monday night in a hospital here.

Mr. Kriege was born in Remsen, Iowa, January 11, 1889. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kriege, pioneer residents of Plymouth county. He was educated in Remsen and LeMars schools and was graduated from the University of South Dakota law school in 1915.

He was a member of Phi Delta law fraternity and St. Michael’s Catholic church in South Sioux City.

He married Anne Braunger, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Braunger, of Sioux City, here in November of 1920.

Surviving are three daughters, Joanne, S.K.D. third class, and Constance, both of Alemeda, Cal., and Marions of South Sioux City; a son, Fred jr., also of South Sioux City; three brothers, Louis of Remsen, Edward of Minneapolis and Andrew of Sioux City; and one sister, Caroline Kriege, also of Sioux City.

The Larkin funeral home is directing arrangements.

The funeral of J. Fred Kriege, 56, of South Sioux City, Neb., who died Monday night in a hospital, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in the Cathedral of Epiphany. Rev. Thomas M. Parle will officiate and interment will be in Calvary cemetery.

The rosary will be recited at 8:30 o’clock this evening in the Larkin chapel. The body will remain there until the time of services.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be James and Joseph Kramper, Adolph Meier, Rex Durham, Harold Hall and Harold Kerwin.
