Nick Parvu
Nick Bill Parvu, 64, of Hornick died Sunday (Nov. 13, 1977) at an Omaha hospital after a lengthy illness.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 at the Schroeder Funeral Home, Akron. The Rev. Stanley Stone officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph’s cemetery, Akron.
Mr. Parvu was born Nov. 22, 1912, in Sioux City. He married Cleo Moore on May 16, 1941, in South Sioux City. He was a veteran of World War II and was employed by a Hornick farmer.
Survivors include the widow of Magna, Utah; two daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Holquist of Magna and Mrs. Eugene (Katherin ) Welch of Westfield; a sister, Miss Mary Parvu of Burbank, Calif.; two brothers, John of Michigan and Ted of McCook Lake, S. D.; and eight grandchildren.
