Truman D. Campbell

Truman D. Campbell, 77, Akron, died Wednesday, August 31, 1977, after a long illness.

Services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 in the First Church of Christ. The Rev. Leslie Williams and the Rev. Michael McHugh officiated. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home.

Pallbearers were Harold Higman, jr., David Higman, Tom Ross, Jim Ross, Larry Michael and Bill Michael.

Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 22, 1899, in Hartford City, Ind. He married Doris Kanego (Kanago) Nov. 9, 1924, in Akron. He resided in Akron his entire life, and was employed as an automobile mechanic. He retired in 1965.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Lois Jean) Frank of Storm Lake; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Skiff of Hartford City and two brothers, Lester of Hartford City and Joe of Waterloo, Ind.
