Arthur B. Chamberlain, 73, Ponca, Neb., died Wednesday (April 4, 1973) at his home.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mohr funeral home in Ponca with Rev. Lowell Myers officiating. Burial was in the Newcastle cemetery.
Mr. Chamberlain was born July 1, 1899 at Newcastle. He lived there until 1926 when he moved to Le Mars. He later lived in Sioux City where he worked as a mechanic. He married Genevieve Meyers June 15, 1966, at Dakota City and the couple moved to Ponca.
Survivors are his wife; two sons, Marvin of Des Moines and Lloyd of Olympia, Wash.; two daughters, Alice Chamberlain and Mrs. Kenneth (Eileen) Lubben, both of Le Mars; four stepsons, Merle Brockman of Lancaster, Calif., Melvin and Gerald Brockman, both of Eufaula, Ala., and Harold Brockman of Carson, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Ronald (Mavis) Nelson of Newcastle; 18 step-grandchildren; brother, Leo of Hope, Kan.; and two sisters, Mrs. Foniel Hahn of Bethlehem, Pa., and Mrs. Cora Winchester of Le Mars.
