Jas. B. Jarvis is Dead
Jas. B. Jarvis, a former well-known Akron man, died at his home in Sioux City yesterday, August 20, of tuberculosis.
He had been unable to work at his trade, plastering and masonry, for about three years. He was fifty-two years of age and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Shearer, two sisters and a brother. The remains will be conveyed to Akron tomorrow (Friday) for interment.

Following an illness of long duration that incapacitated him for work during the last three years J. B. Jarvis died at his home from tuberculosis.
Mr. Jarvis was 52 years of age and up to the time he was compelled to give up work was a brick mason. He never married.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Shearer, and two sister, one of whom resides in Sioux City.
The funeral will be held at Westcott’s undertaking parlors at 8:30 o’clock tomorrow morning. Rev. R. T. Chipperfield, pastor of the Whitefield Methodist Episcopal church, will conduct the services. The remains will be taken to Akron, Ia., for burial.
