DIED

Koch—In Akron, November 24, of consumption, George. Koch, aged 45 years.

The death was not unexpected. He had been confined to the house for several months, rallying at times, but getting steadily weaker until the end came at 5 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral will be held sometime today under the auspices of the German Lutheran church. At the time, of this writing the exact hour had not been fixed.

George Koch was born, in the principality of Saxony-Coburg, Germany, in 1851, came to the United States in 1869 and settled in Dubuque, where he remained until 1882, when he came to Akron and engaged in the hotel business. He married Louisa Peters at Dubuque in 1878, who still survives him. Four children were born to them and three are still living.

Mr. Koch's reputation was that of being honorable in business and kindly in his social relations.
